Development of Virtual Reality Program on Delivery Physiology for Nursing Students

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop and effect the Virtural Reality (VR) based delivery physiological education program for nursing students. The program was developed through analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The content included the overview of the anatomy about women¡¯s reproductive organs, fetal skull, fetal postures, and step of delivery (from 1 stage to 4 stage). To evaluate the developed educational program, participants was attended 4 thnursing students (20 subjects) for 2 weeks. The average user satisfaction score was 4.16 out of 5 and the average expert rating was 4.58 out of 5. Based on the study results, the VR based delivery physiological education program for nursing students should be designed for convenience and usefulness as well as education. This delivery physiological education program for nursing students is expected to offer individualized training opportunities for improving maternal-child nursing knowledge functions, although further research is needed to investigate its effects in various settings
